Hiyaa Welcome to my portfolio!

 

A little about myself: I'm half Portuguese and Brazilian, and I moved around a lot to different countries as a young child, including America, Portugal, and England (I am based in the West Midlands ). Due to traveling at a young age, I believe this has slightly altered my perspective on relationships and life, particularly influencing my ideas in my creative practice.

 

I have a deep passion for exploring and learning about different cultures, which I showcase through photography, mixed media, and storytelling. I love illuminating the fascinating intricacies I encounter in life, society, my own identity, and my surroundings. Some of my best work in this regard includes "The Harvest," a personal project where I explored cherishing my Portuguese roots and the connection between humanity and the land we cultivate and grow from. Another significant project is "City Style Manifesto of Porto," where I explore the fashion culture of the city, capturing individuals and how they choose to express themselves. Additionally, out of curiosity and a desire to learn more about subcultures, I created "The Van Dwellers," which explores the nomadic lifestyle through mixed media and cyanotype prints

In essence, my work revolves around celebrating human connection and exploring the richness of life, including culture and identity. I aim to provoke thought and inspire viewers to reflect on our shared human experiences. This passion extends to my commercial endeavors, where I bring creativity, vibrant colours, and a fresh perspective to projects such as social media content creation and product photography. Whether I'm capturing candid moments at weddings or lively scenes at musical events, my warm approach helps people feel relaxed and allows their true selves to shine through.
